St Columba CCAP is a Christ centered Church in Blantyre Synod with a population of about 4,000 members located in Njamba near Njamba Freedom Park in Blantyre.
The Church is looking for persons with relevant education background, experience and interpersonal skills to fill the above Position:
POSITION: BUS DRIVER
REPORTING TO : HUMAN RESOURCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER
GRADE: SS4
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a bus safely and efficiently to transport passengers to various destinations
- Achere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect the bus before and after each trip to ensure it is in good condition
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior
- Report accidents, incidents or mechanical problems to the appropriate authorities
- Attend training sessions and meetings required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
- Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education
- Must posses a valid driving licence code ” D ” with PRDP category “p”
- At least 5 years’ work experience in a similar position
- Clean driving record with no accidents or violations
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test
- Excellent diving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations
