Senior Financial Accountant, Group

Join and become an integral part of our finance team at FMBcapital Holdings plc. Reporting to the Group Head of Financial Reporting, your role will involve ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards while providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making. As a Senior Financial Accountant, Group you will be an integral part of our finance team, focusing on the consolidation and reporting of financial results across our group of entities in Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. We seek a knowledgeable, experienced, and skilled candidate to fill this position.

Skills, Knowledge, and Competencies

  • Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting principles.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and financial modelling.
  • Experience with financial consolidation software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and leadership abilities. Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Chartered Accountant and a member of an internationally recognised institute (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA, CA, ICAM, BICA).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial reporting, preferably in a group or multi-entity environment.
