Chikwawa District Council
Chikwawa District Council with support from United States Agency for International Development (USAID), will for five (5) years, implement critical health and social welfare activities through a Government to Government (G2G) agreement at the district level and contribute to the improvement of HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health (MCH), family planning (FP), Tuberculosis (TB), Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), nutrition and social welfare service delivery. To achieve the intended objectives of the agreement, Chikwawa District Council intends to hire additional health care workers (HCWs) and support staff.
The council therefore invites suitably qualified Malawians to fill the following vacant positions existing in Chikwawa:
JOB TITLE: PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
Grade : HK/M9
Location: Chikwawa District Council
Duties:
- Check stocks and make orders from the bulk store.
- Pre-pack drugs ready for dispensing.
- Receive prescription to check the dosage.
- Ensue correct drug storage in main pharmacy stores and wards.
- Manage pharmaceutical supplies for hospital wards and department.
- Control and supervise junior staff in the Pharmacy Department.
- Manage ordering, inspection, storage, and compounding/manufacturing of drugs.
- Procedure reports on drugs received and dispensed.
Educational Qualification
Applicants must be in possession of a diploma in Pharmacy obtained from a recognized and reputable institution.
NOTE:
- All interested candidates must be prepared must be prepared to work in remote /hard-to-reach areas of the district following a set Deployment
- All interested candidates must be prepared to remain within the district for a period of not less than 5 years.
