Macsteel Malawi Limited invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Treasury Supervisor to assist the Financial Accountant with the accounting transactions in maintaining the cash book and other related transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Weekly & Monthly bank reconciliations
- Checking cash deposits against cash summary before banking
- Follow ups of bank statement ensuring that the entries are correct and that they are received on time
- Preparation of daily interest schedule in cases where account is overdrawn to ensure interest charged by the bank is correct
- Maintaining a spreadsheet for investments made and following up maturities
- Maintaining bank balances and payments to be made ensuring the account is not overdrawn
- Negotiating with banks and discount houses on rates for short term investments Supervising the cashier
- Preparing cash flow statement for Management Accounts
- Preparing daily cash report
- Weekly reporting to Head office
- Perform daily cash counts and balancing at head office
- Preparation of cashbook related audit schedules at year end.
- Ensuring that all withholding tax deductions by financial institutions of interest have certificate delivered to debtors section
- Any other duties assigned by Management from time to time

Requirements
- Minimum Education & Experience:-
- MSCE
- Diploma in Accountancy
- 3 Years working experience in a competitive accounting environment.
