Neno District Council
The Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Neno District Council.
JOB TITLE : FISHERIES OFFICER
GRADE : I/M6
DUTIES:
- Coordinate the development and dissemination of extension messages
- Monitor implementation of district extension programmes
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Provide extension services to various projects
- Assist in preparation of departmental and annual work plans
- Assist in preparation of the extension unit
- Maintain in a readily usable from fisheries data
- Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time
Educational Qualification
Applicants must be serving Senior Assistant Fisheries Officer (Grade J/M7) with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience at that grade and non-serving officer should be in possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries Science and Management, Marine Biology, Environmental Science or Aqua-Culture obtained from an accredited institution.
