DEPOT MANAGER (REF” ‘CO2024/03/10″)
JOB PURPOSE:
The Depot Manager, reporting to the Supply and Distribution Manager, is responsible for ensuring safe and efficient management of all operations at the depot, relating to receipt, storage, and distribution of petroleum products, lubricants and additives
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The position’s key principal accountabilities, include the following:
- To make sure that all activities related to product receipt, storage and loading are performed under his supervision, such as, supervising tanks’ dipping and recording on a daily basis; supervising loading of trucks; and supervising unloading of products from trucks to the tanks at the Depot.
- Cost control management and proper use of resources – OPEX related.
- Ensure proactive HSSE management in the depot operation.
- Ensure dally update in SAP of daily products receipt and dispatches, and stock reconciliations.
- Work with finance and Supply and Distribution to ensure no delays in deliveries and servicing due to late invoicing and that Service Level Agreements are met.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND APTITUDES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain (logistics, supply and procurement), or Engineering. A Master’s Degree holders in Supply Chain Management or Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Having 3 years’ hand-on experience in either Depot Operations, Road Transport Operations or Pant Engineering.

- Depot Operations and Asset Management; Customer Service, Order Taking and Scheduling; Road Transport Planning; Road Delivery Operations : HSSE Management; Facility Development and Maintenance; Supply Operations; Business Planning and Budgeting; and Managing Partners, Competition and Major Contractors.
