AMG Global’s Client, VIVO ENERGY Malawi, a leading retailer of petroleum and related products, seeks to recruit a suitably qualified person to fill the position of RETAIL NETWORK PORTFOLIO AND TERRITORY MANAGER.
RETAIL NETWORK PORTFOLIO AND TERRITORY MANAGER (REF ‘CO 2024/03/12’)
JOB PURPOSE:
The Retail Network Portfolio and Territory Manager – Centre and North will be responsible for coordinating and implementation of the territory’s retail portfolio plan; managing all aspects of network development, and managing the relationship between the Company and Retailer at site level, ensuring consistent delivery of the Company’s Customer Commitment.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The position’s key principal accountabilities, include the following:
- Ensure effective implementation of the Retail Portfolio Plan with specific regard to all aspects of network development, site optimization, property management, and operational excellence in all retail categories (Convenience Retail, Other Non-Fuel Retail, Lubes, etc.)
- Deliver sales and operational targets for the territory through regular reviews and appropriate action plans.
- Support Retailers to increase profitability, and improve their know-how and expertise in selling FMCG products.
- Proactively tract business performance – analyze profit and loss data and identify gaps by site, while anticipating corrective actions to continuously outpace growth targets.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND APTITUDES:
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, and other relevant qualification. A Master’s Degree holders in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in Retail Marketing, Site Operations, and Dealer Management, preferably obtained in a fuels and lubricant’s retail environment.
COMPETENCIES:
Broad competence in retail sales and operations, commercial acumen, and Problem solving skills, operations, Strong negotiations skills, strong people and management skills, and ability to coach and train others.
