Head of Branch Banking

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the top line revenue and bottom-line profit targets of the branch banking operation and the Prestige Business of the Bank. While being responsible for overall branch operations including the operational risk and compliance functionalities, the role holder will be the custodian of the branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quality account acquisitions.
  • Digitisation of branch operations and offerings.
  • Account base and market share growth.
  • Ensure adherence by Branch Banking and Prestige Business to the Bank’s policies and practices.
  • Delivery of service excellence across the Branches and within the Prestige Business.
  • Lead the Team and promote a culture of excellence in all areas of the Business, with core focus being on People, Service, Sales, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Financial and Non-Financial results.

Technical Skills/Competencies

  • Strategy development and execution.
  • SME value propositions.
    Knowledge of world best practice technology that drives digital ecosystems, including payment platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of market developments and the competition.
  • Change management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Business Strategy or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years’ experience at a Senior Management level in the Banking sector, Branch Banking and Wealth Management.
  • Sales and Operations Management and expertise.
  • Leadership and management of large teams.
