Islamic Relief Worldwide operates in Malawi through Islamic Relief Malawi (IRM-NGO/R/06/03), a humanitarian and development Islamic faith-based organization established in 2006 following a request from the Government of Malawi for international humanitarian support. As part of a global humanitarian network, IRM works to alleviate poverty, reduce vulnerability, and improve the well-being of disadvantaged communities through sustainable development and humanitarian assistance.
The organization’s work is guided by five core values that shape its approach to humanitarian action. Sincerity (Ikhlas) emphasizes serving communities with genuine intentions and integrity. Excellence (Ihsan) reflects a commitment to delivering high-quality programmes and continuously improving services. Compassion (Rahma) underscores empathy and care for those in need, particularly the most vulnerable. Social Justice (Adl) promotes fairness and dignity by addressing the root causes of poverty and inequality. Custodianship (Amanah) highlights responsible stewardship of resources and strong accountability to donors, partners, and communities.
In line with the localization agenda, IRM seeks to work closely with capable local organizations and therefore invites eligible partners to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to collaborate in implementing humanitarian and development programmes across Malawi.
Interested local NGO can access to Full expression of Interest document by requesting from Islamic Relief Malawi from 9th March 2026 during work hours (8:00 am to 4:30pm) from Monday to Friday through faida.phiri@islamic-relief.org.mw.
Interested organizations should submit their Expression of Interest electronically to:

- Physical Submission: Islamic Relief Malawi County Office in Blantyre at House # 3, Chiyambi Street New Naperi; P O Box 32021, Blantyre 3.

- Submission period: EOI should be submitted during weekdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
