INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) FOR CONSTRUCTION OF ABLUTION BLOCK AT RUMPHI OFFICE
BY NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING
DATE OF ISSUE: FRIDAY, 28TH AUGUST 2026

1. The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi Limited (ESCOM) a state-owned company has budgeted funds to be used for Construction of Ablution Block at Rumphi Office.

2. The Corporation now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the following:

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the Malawi Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2025 and is open to all eligible Bidders.

4. ESCOM shall hold a mandatory pre-bid site visit to take place on Monday, 7th September 2025, at Rumphi ESCOM premises from 10:00 hours.

5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from ESCOM’s Procurement Office at the address given in paragraph 7(a) below from 08:00 to 12:00 hrs, 13:00 to 16:00 hrs local time (Monday to Friday) except during public holidays.

6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders at 7(b) below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00. The method of payment will be cash or bank certified cheque.

7. Bids must be delivered to the Tender Box at address at 7(c) below on or before 25th September, 2026 at 10.00 hours local time. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted and late Bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address 7(d) below on 25th September 2026 at 10:30 hours local time.
