REQUEST FOR BIDS
1. Background
Habitat for Humanity Malawi (HFHM), an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, is a non-profit Christian organization committed to improving housing conditions in Malawi. Since 1986, HFHM has supported over 41,000 families with various housing solutions. Guided by the vision, “A Malawi where everyone has a decent place to live,” we strive to transform lives through sustainable, affordable housing initiatives.
With funding from the Federal Ministry of Economics in Germany (BMZ), HFHM is implementing a Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) project in T/A Masumbankhunda, Lilongwe district, to improve access to potable water.
We invite qualified, experienced, and competent construction companies to submit tender proposals for the following work:

2. Requirements
Interested companies must ensure that their proposals are organized in the following order:
- Annex 1: Cover page and letter of submission.
- Annex 2: Registration documents, including Tax Registration, Tax Clearance, NCIC Registration (minimum K200 million category), and any other necessary regulatory permits, licenses, or memberships.
- Annex 3: Bill of quantities and timelines.
- Annex 4: Qualification information, including particulars of key personnel such as copies of certificates.
- Annex 5: Financial statements for the past three years.
- Annex 6: Evidence of three traceable referees, such as copies of contracts or purchase orders for similar works.
- Annex 7: Company profile.
- Annex 8: Any additional relevant documents, organized in a series of annexes and clearly separated with labeled sections following Annex 7.
Eligible bidders must express interest and access bid documents through the online survey link https://forms.office.com/r/xYRJpxNgeh?origin=lprLink starting 8 to 14h February 2025. Electronic submissions of queries can be sent to inquiries@habitat.mw. Oral inquiries to any other HFHM contact, unless specifically requested, will result in disqualification. Late or non-compliant submissions will not be reviewed
Closing dates for receiving bids is 27th February 2025 by 14:00 Hours. Bids will be opened on 28* February 2025 at 10:00 Hours in presence of bidders or representatives.
