We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:
SENIOR MINING ENGINEER
Location : Mangochi

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and oversight of mining and quarrying operations.
- Develop and review short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans in line with production requirements.
- Oversee drilling, blasting, excavation, hauling, and material-handling activities.
- Monitor mining production, productivity, costs, and resource utilization, and implement improvement measures.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to Mining Engineers, Supervisors, and other mining personnel.
- Ensure compliance with applicable mining legislation, safety and environmental requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Provide technical oversight of crushing and material-processing operations to ensure a consistent supply of raw materials.
- Evaluate mining equipment requirements, utilization, and operational efficiency.
- Lead investigations into mining incidents, operational challenges, and technical problems.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, HSE, Quality, and other departments to optimize operations.
- Prepare and review mining plans, technical reports, budgets, and operational performance reports.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, resource optimization, productivity improvement, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop junior mining personnel and promote high professional standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in mining or quarrying operations.
- Valid mining licence.
- Practical experience in drilling and blasting, limestone quarrying, and crushing operations will be highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety.
