Saint John of God Hospitaller Services Malawi is a non-profit, faith-based healthcare organization established in 1994 to contribute to the development of health services for all Malawians, including the most vulnerable, marginalized, and excluded groups. With operations in Lilongwe and Mzuzu, the organization is a key provider of tertiary and community-based mental health services, early intervention, inclusive education for children with disabilities, vocational training, elderly care, psychosocial support, rehabilitation services, and university-level training in health-related disciplines.
Saint John of God Hospitaller Services Malawi invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions at its Institute of Vocational Training Centre in Mzuzu and Mzimba Project Office:
SHORT-TERM CONTRACT POSITIONS
Saint John of God Hospitaller Services Malawi is also seeking qualified and experienced trainers for short-term training assignments in the following areas:
BEEKEEPING TRAINER
MUSHROOM PRODUCTION TRAINER
PHOTOVOLTAIC/ SOLAR INSTALLATION TRAINER
ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION TRAINER
The Positions
Under the general supervision of the Institute of Vocational Training Coordinator, the Trainers will be responsible for training selected youths in communities around Mzuzu in their respective fields of beekeeping, mushroom production, solar installation, and electrical installation.
Minimum Requirements for Trainers
- Diploma or Advanced Certificate in the relevant technical or vocational field.
- At least three (3) years of relevant practical work experience in the respective field.
- Demonstrable practical knowledge and experience in delivering skills-based training.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver practical, competency-based training.
- Experience working with vocational trainees will be an added advantage.
