TEMPORARY GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Bishop Mackenzie International School – BMIS, the only IB School in Malawi located in Lilongwe, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant position:-
Temporary Graphic Designer
Tenure: 6 months (working for a maximum of 3 days per week)
Job Purpose
To coordinate all administrative aspects of production, including preparation of final designs for the school communication materials and branded items.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the designing, production and publication of the school’s communication materials, branded items and signage as required;
- Assist in media (Photography and Videography) coverage of major school events;
- Assist staff to apply the school’s visual identity to their documents, providing guidelines or developing templates;
- Create multimedia content such as videos and photos to highlight the school achievements;
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field such as Communication, Journalism, Design, Fine Arts or related fields.
- Proven graphic designing experience
Other requirements and Skills
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines;
- Excellent IT skills especially with design and photo editing software;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Exceptional creativity and innovation
