We are looking for suitably qualified, passionate, hardworking, and enthusiastic individuals to fill the position of:

Technical Support Officer (Biomedical Engineer)

Reports to: Engineering Lead

Location: Global Health Informatics Training Center, Area 3 – Lilongwe, Malawi

Contract: Full-Time

Program: Oxygen Alliance

Position overview

We are seeking a Biomedical Engineer to provide technical support to the Oxygen Alliance and BME Konza initiatives. The role involves handling user queries, coordinating data and communication tasks, and supporting the creation of technical content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate responses to queries from social media and the BME Konza app.
  • Support data collection, correction, and reporting for healthcare facility situational analyses.
  • Coordinate with enumerators and assist in report preparation.
  • Contribute to student webinars and maintenance videos.
  • Assist with user testing and review of materials on the BME Konza platform. Support program planning and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a biomedical workshop.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent public speaking and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively. Experience with content creation is an added advantage.
