SALES OFFICER

Job Purpose

The Sales Officer – Meats is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding customer base, and promoting fresh and processed meat products. The role focuses on developing marketing strategies, securing new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, and ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets while upholding food safety and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with retailers, wholesalers, hotels, restaurants, and institutional buyers.
  • Promote and sell fresh and processed meat products to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize customer agreements.
  • Maintain an updated customer database and track individual and overall sales performance.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans, promotions, and product awareness campaigns.
  • Coordinate product launches, tasting events, advertising, and branding activities.
  • Monitor competitor products, pricing, and market trends to inform strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and repeat business.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct regular customer visits and market surveys to strengthen partnerships and increase orders.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and marketing performance reports.
  • Provide sales forecasts and demand insights to support production planning and stock management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, and company policies in all sales activities.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, contracts, and documentation.
  • Support stock movement coordination and timely product delivery to customers.
  • Perform any other sales and marketing duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, or related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales.
  • Strong understanding of market development, customer relationship management, and sales techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic digital marketing tools
