EKHAYA LUXURY RESORT, a subsidiary of Ekhaya Group of Companies and one of the lakeside retreats along Lake Malawi. We are seeking a vibrant, dedicated, and experienced individual to join our team in Lilongwe.

Sales and Marketing Executive

Job Purpose

Drive sales and market the resort’s products locally, regionally, and internationally, with the objective of maximizing occupancy, conference bookings, brand visibility, and revenue growth.

 RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement effective sales programs to ensure maximum occupancy for guest rooms and conference facilities.
  • Follow up on all resort enquiries promptly, close sales, and conduct post-sales follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with resort operations to collect guest feedback, improve ratings, and respond to all online reviews in a timely and professional manner.
  • Design and implement a customer loyalty program aimed at increasing repeat business and positioning the resort as a market leader in Malawi.
  • Create promotional initiatives that strengthen the resort’s brand positioning and enhance digital visibility through value-adding content.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously update a comprehensive Sales and Marketing database.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations for advertising campaigns aligned with the resort’s marketing strategy.
  • Propose and support promotional campaigns to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Coordinate and represent the resort at local, regional, and international exhibitions and trade shows.
  • Assist in budgeting processes and demonstrate the ability to interpret financial and sales performance data 

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing Management, Tourism & Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar role, with traceable references. Experience in the tourism or hospitality industry is an added advantage
  • Valid and clean driver’s licence.
