Product Matching Associate
Job Overview
The Product Matching Associate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate product comparisons across different platforms or competitors. Their primary responsibility is to analyze product data, verify specifications, and match similar or identical products based on various criteria.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provided with a list of products and associated attributes along with a list of retail websites to match
- Discover and match product lists to individual retail website offerings
- Supply unique website URL links for all matched products
- Outline process steps taken for matching per retail site
- Highlight instances when unique website URL not obtainable and what additional parameters are needed to be input into website
- Communicate any site complications such as account needed to view product offerings
- General confidence in the matched website URL (identify matches with lower confidence)
Required/Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or a combination of education and equivalent industry-related experience.
- Ability to analyse product specifications and identify similarities or differences.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate product matching.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and product databases.
- Experience with data management tools like Excel, SQL, or specialized software.
- Ability to troubleshoot mismatches and refine product classification.
- Creative thinking to improve matching accuracy.
