Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a UK based international humanitarian and development organization working in 35 countries. Islamic Relief Malawi is looking for competent candidates to fill the following position:

Procurement & Logistics Officer (2 post) [Blantyre based]

 Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Under direct supervision of the Procurement & Logistics Coordinator, the Procurement and Logistics Officer is responsible for the management of all project procurements and assist with processing service contracts and rental agreements; coordinating logistics and travel arrangements; and supporting project trainings,
• Ensure assets & fleet management, safety & security support, and logistics coordination as per respective policies and procedures.
• Participate whenever required in the tenders and contribute to the BID analysis.
• Manage procurement records including purchase orders and inventory.
• Coordinate and ensure that all project related purchases are reviewed and approved in accordance with the purchase authorization matrix.
• Actively participate in relevant meetings, coordination/representation events and timely report.

Qualification & Experience:    

• University degree in a relevant subject: e.g. Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, etc
• Minimum 2-year experience in procurement and logistics preferably in humanitarian context (e.g. working for International/National NGOs and/or UN Agencies
• Excellent IT Systems, tenders, notes, and contract drafting skills and use of MS Word, Excel, and Power-Point.
