Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a UK based international humanitarian and development organization working in 35 countries. Islamic Relief Malawi is looking for competent candidates to fill the following position:

Procurement and Logistic Coordinator (1 Post, Blantyre Based)

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ensure compliance with IR Malawi policies and procedures throughout the procurement chain.
• Manage the purchasing process optimally, transparently, and ensuring the best value for money.
• Oversee purchasing planning, reporting, databases, and archiving.
• Oversee the logistics management (Fleet, Warehouse, and Asset)
• Oversee the security management in compliance with IR policy and procedures.
• Ensure periodic and continuous capacity building of IR staff and suppliers.
• Facilitate procurement intelligence to ensure timely service provision.
• Contribute to the development of procurement and Logistic guidelines and policies.
• Advise Management team on improvement areas in her/his expertise area.

 Qualification & Experience:

• At least Degree in administration, business management, logistics and/or purchasing.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a procurement and logistic function with an international NGO as Coordinator.
• Solid understands of procurement, logistics, and security in emergency and development.
• Proven technical skills in business management.
• Good writing skills and good knowledge of at least one local language.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, etc) Best Practices and advanced Computer literacy.
• Very good communication and interpersonal skills.
• ERP system exposure is an asset.
• Be dynamic and energetic, and able to adapt to difficult situations.
• Ability to quickly learn and maintain IRW policies.
