Process Plant Trainer Superintendent
Lotus Africa seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and motivated individual to the post of a Process Plant Trainer Superintendent at Kayelekera Uranium Mine in Karonga.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Processing Plant Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering effective training programs for plant employees to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of processing plant equipment and systems. The role focuses on building operator competence, improving performance, and supporting continuous improvement across plant operations.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for plant operators, technicians, and other operational staff.
- Conduct onboarding and induction training for new employees.
- Provide refresher and upskilling training to ensure ongoing competence.
- Develop training materials, SOPs, manuals, and visual aids aligned with plant processes.

- Assess training effectiveness using evaluations, observations, and performance metrics.
- Maintain accurate training records, competency matrices, and certification logs.
- Prepare training reports and provide feedback to management.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, and KNOWLEDGE
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Industrial Operations, Manufacturing, Food Processing, Mining, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience working in a processing plant or similar industrial environment.
- Proven experience in training, coaching, or supervising plant personnel.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, equipment, and safety standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPENTENCIES
- Excellent training, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Strong knowledge of processing plant operations and SOPs.
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
- Strong observational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
