 Job Title: Plant Manager
Location: Nkhotakota

Job Description:
The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall management, coordination, and control of plant operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and high performance. This role involves leading a technical and operational team, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, particularly relating to electrical grid systems and renewable energy facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily plant operations, maintenance, and safety protocols
  • Lead and supervise technical and operational staff
  • Develop and implement project management strategies for plant upgrades and new developments
  • Ensure electrical systems and grid operations meet regulatory and safety standards
  • Monitor plant performance, optimize operations, and implement continuous improvement measures
  • Manage budgets, reporting, and compliance with environmental and social standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, and vendors to support project delivery and operational excellence

Essential Experience:

  • 10 years proven project management experience within energy, utilities, or industrial sectors
  • Not less than 7 years of supervisory experience leading technical teams
  • Hands-on knowledge and experience with electrical grid systems and infrastructure

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Those with a relevant Master’s Degree will have an added advantage.
  • Professional certifications in project management or electrical systems are essential.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities
  • Deep understanding of electrical and grid systems, especially within renewable energy environments
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and operate under pressure
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
