PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (1)
REPORTING TO : SENIOR PHARMACY TECHNICIAN
LOCATION : DAEYANG LUKE HOSPITAL, LILONGWE
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : TWO YEAR
GRADE : K
SALARY : CHAM SALARY SCALE
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dispensing drugs to patients and educating them correct usage of drugs.
- Analysis of prescription patterns and provide appropriate advice to Hospital Management team.
- Pharmacy stock management.
- Receiving prescriptions for dispensing.
- Managing pharmaceuticals and other medical supplies.
- Inventory management.
Educational qualifications, experience and attributes.
- Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a busy health facility.
- Registered with the Pharmacy, Medicines and poisons Board
- Contract is renewable depending on satisfactory performance.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY/SKILLS
- Well conversant with the health system in Malawi.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Effective communication skills.
- Problem identification and solving skills.
- Willingness to abide by the vision and core values of the hospital.
