The Company
Lindian Resources is an Australian company listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX:LIN) with world class rare earths and bauxite assets in Malawi and Guinea. The Kangankunde Rare Earths Project in Malawi is the cornerstone of Lindian’s asset portfolio and ranks amongst some of the best underdeveloped rare earth assets in the world. Our assets will provide critical minerals to fuel the technologies of tomorrow, driving innovation and supporting the world’s energy transition.
Through the development of the Kangankunde Project, Lindian is set to become a globally significant rare earths producer.
OPERATIONS MANAGER
Reporting to the Site Construction Manager, you will:
- Diagnose and resolve operational challenges in real time, ensuring daily execution aligns with strategic objectives.
- Apply practical methodologies to optimise workflows and balance productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee daily site operations, anticipate risks, and implement tactical interventions to mitigate delays.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all construction activities.
- Manage budgets, procurement, and inventory with a focus on cost control and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor teams to maintain discipline, accountability, and performance excelence.
- Coordinate closely with HR, finance, and project management to align workforce performance with site objectives.
To succeed in this role, you will possess the following:
- Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or related field (recommended).
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in large-scale construction, mining, or industrial operations.
- Proven expertise in commissioning, plant management, and tactical decision-making under pressure.
- Strong background in operational risk management, resource allocation, and workflow optimisation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage contractor deliverables effectively.
- Excellent organisational, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commitment to safety culture, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement in operational performance.
Eligibility:
Only Malawian Citizens will be considered. Candidates must be eligible to work in Malawi. Candidates will be asked to complete a National Police Clearance prior to employment.
