VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

MANASO (Malawi Network of AIDS Service Organizations) is a network organization with over 1000 members comprising Community Based Organizations (CBOs), Local NGOs (LNGOs) and International NGOs (INGOs) operating in all districts across the country. Its mandate is to coordinate the HIV and AIDS national response among Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Malawi. MANASO’s vision is to improve Quality health for all Malawians with a mission of promoting access to health for Malawians through coordinated and accountable community health systems.

MANASO now seeks to recruit capable individuals for the position of:

MONITORING, EVALUATION, ACCOUNTABILITY & LEARNING OFFICER

MANASO therefore invites expressions of interest from qualified personnel to fill the position of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Officer under the supervision of National Project Coordinator – CLM;

The officer will be responsible for ensuring high quality and timely inputs of data for effective decision making. S/he will design and implement M&E activities in a cost effective and timely manner.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen projects monitoring and evaluation framework and procedures
  • Conduct regular field visits to project sites to support project staff in use of data collection tools and reports validation processes
  • Identification of projects bottlenecks in data collection, management and dissemination; and propose recommendations and corrective actions where necessary
  • Consolidation and analysis of data in relation to Liu Lathu desire objectives and goals
  • Support development and management of standard operating procedures for quality improvement that includes data audits and feedback sessions
  • Ensure there is timely preparation and submissions of accurate work plans, progress reports and other deliverables to management and stakeholders

Required qualifications and experience

  • Degree in public health, epidemiology, Social Science, monitoring & evaluation, demography, biostatistics, statistics, analytics or a related field;
  • At least three (3) years of work experience in designing, establishing, and managing monitoring and evaluation systems, ensuring data quality, and managing data intensive, performance-based programs;
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex data quality analyses and make program recommendations based on findings;
  • Demonstrated ability to perform robust data extraction from internal and external information systems; Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analytics utilizing Microsoft Excel and/or business intelligence tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare expert quality data visualizations and a working knowledge of Malawi’s health service information systems and monitoring and evaluation processes as they relate to data collection for performance-based reporting; and
  • Working knowledge and experience on community monitoring & accountability programs will be an added advantage
