 Job Title: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Functional Support Consultant

Location: Blantyre

Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Functional Support Consultant to provide first-level functional support for our client’s ERP maintenance activities. The consultant will serve as the primary liaison between end users and second-level technical support, ensuring timely resolution of issues across Finance, Human Resources, and Supply Chain modules.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Functional Support & Issue Resolution
  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-user queries related toFinance, HR, and Supply Chain modules
  • Log, categorize, and prioritize functional issues raised by users
  • Liaise with second-level support teams (internal or external) to escalate and resolve issues
  • Interpret technical resolutions and communicate actionable guidance back to users in clear, non-technical language
  • Maintain a support log and generate periodic reports on issue trends and resolution timelines
  1. User Engagement & Training
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to users during daily operations
  • Assist in onboarding new users and reinforcing best practices for system usage
  • Identify recurring user challenges and recommend process improvements or training interventions
  1. Documentation & Compliance
  • Document functional issues, resolutions, and user feedback for audit and knowledge base purposes
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, data governance, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with business units to align system usage with operational policies

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 1 Year+ Proven experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, especially in Finance, HR, and Supply Chain modules.
  • Strong understanding of business processes in public utilities or similar sectors
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into user-friendly language
  • Experience in issue tracking, documentation, and stakeholder coordination
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests simultaneously

Desirable Attributes

  • Familiarity with public sector entities
  • Certification in Microsoft Dynamics AX or related ERP platforms
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams and multicultural environments
  • Commitment to user-centric support and continuous improvement
