In Malawi, MSF collaborates closely with the Ministry of Health and the local community, particularly in the Cervical Cancer project in the Blantyre and Chiradzulu districts, as well as the CBO Project in Zalewa and Dedza District. 

MSFF is looking for its Blantyre Cervical Cancer Project Office: 


Workplace : Cervical Cancer Project Office, Blantyre 

Type of contract : 4 Months Fixed Term Contract 

Start date : June 2024

Main purpose of the position

Carry out medical data entry activities into the mission database recording all relevant clinical and demographic data on patients and ensuring data quality/reliability, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality while producing the appropriate, updated documents for the medical team to support decision making processes.

Job Summary

  • Entering Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment data in the mission’s database on regular basis and according to MSF protocols using Redcap platform: Thus
    • Entering screening activities data both study and non-study for all 10 healthy centers plus truck in Redcap.
    • Entering Imaging forms in Redcap
    • Entering and updating six weeks review form
  • Updating files of existing patients, search for missing data and making corrections needed (data quality check)
  • Ensure accuracy of medical data recorded in data collection tools such as Cervical cancer screening and treatment register, VIA image forms, Six weeks review form and VIA client treatment and referrals.
  • Providing regular statistical reports by using STATA for the medical team as well as collaborating with screening activities supervisors for any missing information, major changes on patient’s data or any other big differences on the data.
  • Guaranteeing effective management of patient flow by promptly addressing the needs/calls of health centers when followup patients arrive, thus preventing any errors in recording patient IDs.
  • Make regular backups of all data processed
  • Ensure, promote and maintaining confidentiality regarding all information registered.


Education At least a Diploma in Information and Technology (IT) or Mathematics field, desirable.


Essential working experience of at least one year with MSF or any other organizations/NGO.

Experience with Cervical Cancer Projects desirable.

Languages English and Chichewa
Knowledge Essential proven computer literacy and qualifications either in data entry or in statistics.
