JOB VACANCY – MACADAMIA DIVISIONAL MANAGER
Location : Estates in Mulanje & Thyolo
Start Date : October 2025
General Description of the Role
Working in a Tea and Macadamia Estate, the Macadamia Divisional Manager will report to the Macadamia Manager. He/she will be responsible for work planning and ensuring that all work is carried out effectively and efficiently in the Division. The manager will also be responsible for all divisional programs and ensuring compliance in certification standards.
Key duties Include
- Adheres to and plans daily operations of the division macadamia orchards along with the Macadamia Manager.
- Plans and implements macadamia field spraying.
- Plans and oversees macadamia pruning operations in the division.
- Oversees the new plantings of macadamia and other forestry operations.
- Participates in recruitment and discipline of workers in the division.
- Prepares and submits monthly reports to Macadamia Manager.
- Provide accurate Labour requirement feedback to enable recruitment in preparation for all operations.
- Ensure best work standards are maintained and all company policies are maintained.
- Complete compliance with all applicable Accreditation Standards.
Qualifications and Key prerequisites
- Education: Degree in Agriculture or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in macadamia field management.
- Motorcycle driving license preferred
- Team: Proven ability to manage a team and able to train employees in the field.
- Communications: Fluent in English and Chichewa including writing and reading.
- Organization: Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency; ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, create / implement action plans and monitor progress towards goals; and ability to make clear, timely decisions.
- Computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet and e-mail knowledge.
- Must be an individual of high Ethical standards, Honest and well motivated who can work with minimum supervision.
