WealthNet Finance PLC
Wealthnet Finance PLC is registered by the Reserve Bank of Malawi as a Deposit Taking Microfinance Institution. The institution is looking for a responsible, organised, and people focused HR Officer to handle recruitment, on-boarding, staff management, and basic HR administration.
Location: Area 6, Lilongwe
Reports to: CEO
Contract Type: Full-time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruitment & Hiring
- Advertise job vacancies
- Receive and manage applications
- Shortlist candidates professionally
- Conduct initial screening/interviews
- Prepare contracts and offer letters
2. On boarding & Staff Management
- Create and maintain staff files
- Ensure all documentation is properly submitted
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation of new staff and follow-up for adaptation
- Track performance, attendance, and field reports
- Maintain HR records
3. HR Administration
- Maintain confidentiality of all personal data
- Handle staff communication and updates
- Support CEO with HR reports and summaries
- Maintain discipline procedures (warnings, notices)
- Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant departments functions are kept informed of HR issues
4. Office & Team Support
- Assist during training sessions
- Coordinate interviews, schedules, and notices
- Work closely with the Secretary, Operations, and Field Agent teams
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or any related field with 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of local labor laws, including but not limited to the Malawi Employment Act, Pension Act, Labour Relations Act, and Compensation Act.
