Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a UK based international humanitarian and development organization working in 35 countries. Islamic Relief Malawi is looking for competent candidates to fill the following position:

Human Resources Coordinator (1 Post, Blantyre Based)

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To ensure the implementation of Human Resource Policies.
  • Assist in revision as well as development of cost-effective HR service delivery mechanism.
  • To ensure fair and transparent recruitment process by utilizing adequate selection tools along with policy compliance.
  • To ensure equity in staff compensation as well.
  • Monitoring Staff adherence to IR Malawi Code of Conduct and timely reporting to management.
  • To ensure staff performance, development are tracked and documented.
  • Ensure staff grievances are addressed in accordance with IRW People and Culture guidelines and advise staff on resolution approaches.
  • Career counselling with employees and ensure effective employee relations.
  • Support and facilitate management in terms of provision of information/analysis for corrective actions, where required.
  • Ensure organization procedure and policies compliance with local government.
  • Advise Management team on improvement areas in her/his expertise area.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree in administration, business management, human resource, Operations, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a procurement and logistic function with an international NGO as Coordinator.
  • Relevant trainings/certification in Human Resource is required.
  • Knowledge of handling staff grievances & disciplinary matters and performance management.
  • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills and team building spirit.
  • Adaptable in approach to work with willingness and to work under pressure in a demanding environment.
  • Strong leadership skills and a supportive management style (experience in managing and mentoring staff).
