Ekhaya Farms Foods, a subsidiary of Ekhaya Group of Companies and a fast-growing retail food chain in Malawi, is recruiting for its independent Catering Services Department, which operates as a separate Business unit in Blantyre.

HEAD CHEF

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in a senior kitchen management role.
  • Proven ability to lead kitchen teams, manage production, control costs, and maintain high food quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, menu planning, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

ASSISTANT HEAD CHEF

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or related qualification.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory kitchen role.
  • Strong skills in menu preparation, food presentation, and stock control.
  • Ability to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and staff.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.

CHEFS

Key Requirements:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Food Production, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in food preparation within a busy kitchen or retail food environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in food quality.
