Vacancy for Data Scientist

Tiderise Technologies Inc. is looking for a Data Scientist who will be responsible all aspects of the analysis of our client’s marketplace and brand data and use the full suite of data and analytical tools we have available –SQL, R, Python, PowerBI, and other specific internal tools – to deliver measurable value.  The Data Scientist needs to be able to take the data from its raw form to insights with curiosity and a focus on outcomes.

The Data Scientist duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Effectively manage projects, tasks and stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to brief specification while ensuring minimal downtime and maximum utilization.
• Works closely with key internal stakeholders to ensure sound knowledge of client key performance indicators and deliver measurable results.
• Interpret results and develops actionable recommendations from the data analysis to drive insight led decisions.
• Identifyy opportunities for standardization & automation of existing solutions and processes to maximum potential from our teams.
• Own quality assurance of own codes and that of team members to ensure the highest quality work is being delivered to our clients.
• Understand and utilize data cleansing techniques.
• Possess a proactive curiosity about data to drive further insights.

Essential Skillsets Required:

• Experience in PowerBI and Power Query,
• Data cleaning and data matching
• Independent curiosity (in case something doesn’t match and rather as accepting it as “well, that’s what the model said” to investigating the why)

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in deriving insights from structured and unstructured data sources and presenting insights and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients
• Experience using advanced modeling, algorithms, data matching techniques and technologies in the development of data driven solutions or capabilities
• Experience using PowerBI, Power Query, SQL, Python and other statistical software to develop client facing analytical solutions
• Experience with data sourcing, data cleansing, and data prep
• Experience with Big Data concepts, tools, and architecture (data warehousing, data lakes, etc.)
• Ability to leverage data visualization tools to present key insights to non-technical audience
• Data analysis/collection/cleaning
• Systems and database management

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience,
• 1 – 3 years of experience in a similar field.
