Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is a UK based international humanitarian and development organization working in 35 countries. Islamic Relief Malawi is looking for competent candidates to fill the following position:

Community Mobiliser (1 Post-Mangochi Based)

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Conduct community mobilization and ensure community participation and inclusion as to encourage community ownership over project activities being implemented.
• Develop weekly, monthly/quarterly implementation plans that are aligned with overall work plan to facilitate timely implementation of all project activities.
• Design and participate in awareness raising activities aimed at promoting livelihood practices.
• Facilitate the capacity binding of relevant volunteers and local community structures on various concept for sustained project implementation.
• Conducted data collection and ensuring timely data, accurate data are made available to the project coordinator and the MEAL coordinator.
• She/He will also ensure proper documentation [hard and soft] including office filling of project documents.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma in Community Development, Agriculture, Natural Resources Disaster Management, Rural Extension and Development or another related field.
• At least two (2) years’ experience, particularly with International or Local NGOs in project planning and implementation of a development project.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills and willingness to work in a diverse team.
