Daeyang Luke Hospital (DLH), is a fast-growing Mission hospital under the Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM). In pursuit to achieve the goals and objectives of the hospital, DLH is seeking to engage the services of an experienced Community Health Nursing and Midwifery personnel with high integrity, competent, a team player and who will be willing to serve the poor with compassion, to fill the following vacant post;

 SALARY                : CHAM SCALE

 LOCATION           :  DAEYANG LUKE HOSPITAL

 SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Providing, monitoring, supervising the delivery of comprehensive, quality community Health nursing and midwifery services according to Community Health Nursing /Midwifery standards of care
  • Preparing and responding efficiently and effectively to community emergency situations and disasters in collaboration with the rapid response teams
  • Adhering and ensuring professional and observation of ethical code of conduct at all times
  • Planning, organizing, distributing and monitoring resources for implementation of community Health nursing and midwifery services.
  • Communicating timely in verbal and written form using appropriate skills at all times.
  • Collaborating with the community health team and stakeholder in meeting specific needs of patients, client and their families, groups and communities
  • Teaching subordinate Community Health Nursing and Midwifery staff, students, client and their families; groups and community
  • Advocating for safety and right of patient, client and their families
  • Generating and using data for evidence-based practice including implementing quality improvement

 QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Community Health Nursing and Midwifery Technician
  • Licensed to practice by Nurses Midwife Council Malawi
