Times Capital Finance (TCF) Limited is a subsidiary of The Times Group. CF is a non-deposit taking Microfinance Institution established to provide financial services to low-income individuals and small businesses within Malawi.

The service offering includes the provision of loans and financial literacy with the long-term vision of offering a full bouquet of microfinance products and services.

TCF Ltd is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to till the vacant positions tenable at its Head Office Area 4. Off-Chilambula Road, Lilongwe as detailed below:

BRANCH MANAGER

Reporting to the CEO, the Branch Manager will lead branch operations and drive business growth to achieve operational and financial targets. The role involves supervising branch staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. and promoting a high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in the implementation of branch operational and financial plans
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth
  • Manage branch operations including, credit underwriting, loan collections and client services
  • Ensure achievement of revenue targets and adherence to approved budgets
  • Maintain compliance with microfinance regulations. policies and internal controls
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers. local businesses and the community
  • Train, mentor, and supervise branch staff to achieve performance goals
  • Prepare timely branch performance and risk reports for Head Office
  • Liaise with auditors, regulators and other stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • Professional qualifications in banking, finance or accounting will be an added advantage
  • Proven supervisory or management experience in the microfinance sector
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, internal controls and digital finance trends
  • Strong leadership, communication, analylical and decision-making skills
  • High integrity and proficiency in financial and core banking systems
