Company Overview: Maranet Trading is a sole proprietorship specializing in the importation and selling of motor vehicle tyres, windshields. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service to our clients. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Female  Accountant to join our team.

Job Description:

  1. Ensure Accuracy of Daily Sales:
    • Verify and ensure that all daily sales transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s accounting system.
    • Cross-check sales data for completeness and accuracy.
  2. Cash Management:
    • Review the assistant accountant’s work to ensure that all cash deposits are correctly posted and reflected in the accounting records.
    • Monitor daily cash inflows and reconcile with bank statements.
  3. Stock Monitoring:
    • Regularly monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory management.
    • Coordinate with relevant departments to update stock records and manage stock movements e ectively.
  4. Provide Financial Advice:
    • Advise the Managing Director on best accounting practices and financial procedures to enhance the company’s financial health and e
    • Identify potential areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  5. Trade Receivables Management:
    • Manage trade receivables, including invoicing, credit control, and debt collection.
    • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and minimize bad debts.
  6. Stock Transfers Management:
    • Post stock transfers to Branches accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Ensure proper documentation and recording of stock movements between branches.
  7. Supplier Invoice Processing:
    • Record and post supplier invoices accurately in the accounting system.
    • Verify invoice details against purchase orders and receipts.
  8. Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
    • Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or similar role, preferably in the retail or distribution sector for a minimum of 3 years
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS O ice, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate e ectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
