VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the vacant position of Security Sergeant existing at our office in Lilongwe
THE POSITION
The incumbent will be reporting to Senior Security Officer.
Duties and responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security troopers on assigned shifts.
- Ensure effective security coverage of company premises, assets, employees, and visitors.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and address security risks.
- Enforce security policies, procedures, and access control measures.
- Investigate security incidents and prepare incident reports.
- Monitor security equipment, including CCTV systems, alarms, and communication devices.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and performance standards among security personnel.
- Train, mentor, and provide guidance to security guards on security procedures and emergency response.
- Coordinate with management and law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, accidents, and security breaches.
- Ensure proper record keeping of security occurrences, visitor registers, and daily reports.
- Assist in developing and implementing security improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must have the following
- Diploma or Certificate in Corporate Security
- MSCE
- Computer Skills
- 3 years Industry experience.
Competencies and Attributes
- Physically fit and willing to work shifts
- Good report-writing and investigative skills,
- Ability to enforce security procedures and maintain discipline,
- High level of integrity, self-starter, diligent and achievement oriented
- Age between 26 -40.
