Overview

We are seeking an inspirational, dynamic, and experienced educational leader to join our school community as Principal from August 2027. The Principal will provide overall executive leadership across the entire school, directly serve as Headteacher of the High School, and line-manage the EYFS/Primary Headteacher to ensure a cohesive, high-quality educational vision.

Situated on a beautiful campus in Limbe, Hillview serves a vibrant, family-oriented community, making it a truly rewarding place to work. Our Primary School, established in the 1950s, feeds into our High School, which was opened in 2015. Our students have achieved remarkable outcomes, with an 87% A*-C rate in all exam sessions since our inception and 43% of IGCSEs taken across all exam sessions scoring A*/A. Following a period of significant growth and the continued evolution of our school, we are seeking an outstanding leader to guide Hillview into its next chapter of growth, academic distinction, and whole-school success.

Specifications

• Leading the strategic vision, operations, and policy development across the whole school (EYFS to High School) in collaboration with the Board of Governors;
• Acting as functional Headteacher of the High School, taking direct responsibility for academic outcomes, teaching standards, and pastoral care in Key Stages 3, & 4;
• Line-managing and supporting the EYFS/Primary Headteacher to ensure seamless curriculum continuity and high educational standards across all phases;
• Managing school finances, resources, and staffing efficiently while maintaining full regulatory and safeguarding compliance;
• Serving as an energetic and visible ambassador for Hillview within the local, national, and international communities.

Requirements

Successful applicants will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a relevant degree and preferably a Master’s or leadership qualification (e.g., NPQH)
• Proven senior leadership experience in an international or British curriculum school;
• Direct High School leadership and teaching experience with a strong track record of outstanding academic outcomes;
• Demonstrated success in line-managing senior leaders, building high-performing fostering a positive school culture; teams, and
• Excellent financial management, strategic planning, and operational skills;
• Outstanding communication skills and high emotional intelligence.
