SENIOR PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (M5)
The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) is a parastatal organisation established by an Act of Parliament to conduct such academic and other examinations at the conclusion of any approved course in Malawi as it may be considered desirable in the public interest and award certificates to successful candidates in such examinations.
MANEB invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, dynamic and results driven professionals for the position of Senior Personal Assistant to the Executive Director. The Successful candidate will be expected to provide strategic, confidential and high level executive and administrative support to the Executive Director.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining the Executive Director’s diary to ensure effective scheduling of appointments and official engagements.
- Drafting and preparing correspondences, emails, letters, memoranda, reports and other official documents for the Executive Director.
- Organising and coordinating meetings for the Executive Director.
- Screening and vetting telephone calls and correspondence for the Executive Director and dealing with enquiries where appropriate.
- Preparing and typing correspondence and other documents from drafts and dictation
- Making official bookings for the travel arrangements and accommodation for the Executive Director and other senior officers.
- Take accurate minutes of meetings and prepare minutes for review and circulation
- Maintaining an effective filing and records management system within the office.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Secretarial Studies or a related field from a
- recognised institution.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role in a busy office environment.
