COTTON COUNCIL OF MALAWI was established by the Cotton Act of 2013 with the mandate to regulate, develop and improve the cotton industry in Malawi.
The Vision of CCM is to become a progressive regulator effectively contributing to the development of a sustainable cotton industry.
The Mission of the council is to contribute to the growth of the cotton industry through development of standard and regulations, ensuring adherence to have trade practices by value chain players, promotion of sustainable innovation and information sharing including competent and committed workforce.
CCM wishes to recruit suitable qualified, experienced and dedicated individuals to fill the following post:
Position: Office Assistant (1)
Duty Station: Head Office (Lilongwe)
Reports to: The Assistant Administration Officer
Purpose of the position
The Office Assistant shall provide day to day support of Office processes, administratively and logistically.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Cleaning offices.
- Collecting and delivering mail.
- Assisting with logistics of meetings, workshops and seminars.
- Assisting in arranging and filing documents.
- Preparing refreshments.
- Collecting and distributing work materials, documents and consumables.
Person Specifications
Qualifications and Experience
- Malawi School Certificate of Education
- A minimum of three years’ experience
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to work with a team.
- Fluent in English and Chichewa. Both oral and written
- Must be between 22 and 35 years of age
