FLEET MANAGER

Reporting to the Director, Financial Management, in the Finance Division, the Fleet Manager will be responsible for ensuring that TNM vehicles are properly managed, maintained, and monitored in line with corporate policies and procedures.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategies to optimize fleet operations, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Plan and monitor vehicle operation expenses in line with the approved budget, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without compromising safety or service quality.
  • Ensure TNM vehicles maintain full roadworthiness in compliance with Malawi road traffic regula-tions•
  • Enforce strict compliance with TNM vehicle and safety policies and procedures.
  • Analyze fleet data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for operational improvement.
  • Monitor pool vehicle fuel usage and consumption patterns, actively following up on any unusual variances or irregularities.
  • Ensure all TNM vehicle insurances are kept up to date and manage the end-to-end processing of insurance claims for vehicles involved in accidents.

Educational and Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Fleet Management, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven practical experience in fleet operations, motor vehicle mechanics, and logistical management within a corporate setting.
