WaterAid is looking for experienced individuals to play a vital role in contributing towards our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in Malawi’s unserved communities. The following position is tenable in Lilongwe, with frequent travel.
IT OFFICER
To develop, implement, support and maintain the Malawi Country Programme ICT systems and infrastructure. This role is accountable for improving the CP’s ICT functionality by researching new options and recommending the adoption of new technology and new concepts for the organization in consultation with UK IT team. The purpose of this position is to ensure presence, maintenance and efficient utilisation of latest possible information and communication technology at WaterAid Malawi Country Programme office.
Specifically, the IT Officer will be responsible for the following focus areas
- Provide technical support to members of staff
- Software and hardware maintenance
- Software Development and enhancement
- System and Network Administration
- Cybersecurity and compliance
To be successful, you’ll need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other relevant
- Hardware and software maintenance on laptops, desktop and Server
- Networking and internet equipment installations
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Experience in training needs identification and planning
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles.
