DENTAL THERAPISTS (Technicians) (2)
LOCATION: BLANTYRE
Key Responsibilities
- History taking, examination diagnosis and treatment of oral diseases
- Taking digital oral x-rays and interpretation
- Assessment of oral conditions requiring expert management and appropriate referral
- Prescription of standard drugs for oral conditions
- Oral prophylaxis, extractions and restorative treatments
- Oral health education and dietary counselling
- Management of RTA and other trauma injuries
- Keeping record of patients
Qualifications
- Must Have a Diploma in Dental Therapy from a recognized institution
- Must have the Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) or its equivalent
- Must be registered and having right standing with the Medical Council of Malawi
- Must have at least 3 years experience at a similar post in a busy clinic
- Must be a self -starter, mature and able to cope with pressure of work
- Must have excellent communication skill and able to work as a team
