POSITION: ACCOUNTANT
REPORTING TO: ACCOUNTS MANAGER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Submit clear and presentable daily financial reports via WhatsApp.
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, cheques, and bank advice accurately and timely.
  • Record all financial transactions in Tally, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, journals, and stock movements.
  • Manage daily cash handling, prepare cash reports, and conduct bank reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding payments and generate debtor/ tenant reports.
  • Ensure compliance with MRA requirements (surtax, withholding tax, EFD/Z reports) and other statutory obligations.
  • Reconcile van sales, load/return sheets, and conduct weekly/monthly sales closures.
  • Oversee stock inward/outward documentation and maintain proper filing of financial records.
  • Prepare sales, expense, and basic cost analysis reports.
  • Assist in payroll processing and attendance tracking.
  • Perform duties in line with internal controls, management approvals, and ensure proper handover during leave periods.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Accounting
  • Must have MSCE
  • Must have not less than 5 years’ work experience on a similar position
  • Must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • Those can work in odd hours.
