NUTRITION OFFICER
Action for Sustainable Development (ASUD) is a local Non-Governmental Organization working in the areas of food security, nutrition, environment, education and HIV/AIDS aiming at achieving proper child health and development in rural communities. The organization seeks to recruit a Nutrition Officer to work across its nutrition and HIV/AIDS programms.
Requirements
- Diploma in Nutrition or Community Development from a recognized institution
- Aged between 25 and 30 years
- Should have basic food and nutrition knowledge
- Community mobilization skills
- Willing to work extensively
- Fluent Tumbuka or Chewa speaker
- Excellent English communicator
- Able to ride a motorcycle
- Computer literate
Duties and responsibilities
- Community mobilization
- Conduct outreach nutrition education, coaching and counseling
- Promote and support home-gardens
- Develop and implement dietary care plans
- Organize nutrition IEC materials
- Document success stories
- Compile progress reports from time to time
- Any other duties assigned by Management
