PREPAID BILLING ADMINISTRATOR (BASED IN BLANTYRE)

Reporting to the Prepaid Billing Manager, the Prepaid Billing Administrator shall be responsible for managing prepaid subscriber services, tariff configuration, and product development while ensuring 100% up time for billing systems.

Key responsibilities include resolving system variances, providing second-level support, contributing to revenue analytics, training staff, preparing SOPs, and coordinating platform upgrades and projects. This role ensures efficient operations and seamless service delivery across prepaid billing platforms.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall prepaid subscriber administration, product development, and tariff configuration.
  • Ensuring 100% uptime on all prepaid billing products(s) and services.
  • Report on all core billing platform variances between surrounding network elements.
  • Provide second-level support for prepaid billing queries originating from customer-facing functions.
  • Provide input into the reporting and analytics engine for organization-wide revenue reporting.
  • Train internal staff members on all prepaid billing products and services on an ongoing basis.
  • Prepare SOPs for the various prepaid billing products, processes, and services.
  • Coordinate all ad hoc operations/projects, GDR tests, upgrades, and patches on the core billing platforms.

EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Education:

B.Sc. in Computer Sciences, Information Technology/Systems, or Mathematical Sciences.

Experience:

  • Musthave at least 3 years’ experience working in a busy IT environment.
  • Must have proven project management skills and capabilities.
  • Must bea good team player.
  • Must have the ability to multitask and deliver tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of Linux systems, Oracle, or SQL databases.
  • Knowledge and experience in Telecommunications will be an added advantage.
