Lubes Warehouse Operator – 2 positions (Blantyre)
Puma Energy Malawi Limited is an associate company of Puma Energy, which is a subsidiary of Trafigura Beheer B.V – one of the world’s independent commodity traders. It is owned by a local conglomerate, Press Corporation PLC and Puma Energy on a 50-50 basis. Puma Energy’s activities in the midstream sector include the supply, storage and transportation of petroleum products. We are currently hiring for the following positions;
LUBES WAREHOUSE OPERATOR – 2 POSITIONS (BLANTYRE)
Purpose of the position
The Lubes Warehouse Operator will ensure safe and efficient storage of distribution of packaged lubricants and ensure orders are satisfied correctly as per SAPS/ISO 14001/9001 and OPS excellence requirements including operating and managing forklifting as per safety requirements.
Functions
- To execute all duties in line with Health Safety Security & Environment (HSSE) deliverables in the depot
- Operate and Manage forklift as per safety requirement.
- To ensure that stocks in the depot are accounted for by accurate counting as per documented procedure.
- To ensure that products are loaded/offloaded safely within reasonable time and that product quality is maintained through adherence to laid down procedure.
- Carry out stock count / stock reconciliations daily, at opening and closing of the day.
- Accountable for the security of the yard and sales building, Accountable for product storage and handling
- In charge of managing First In First Out (FIFO) for all lubricants
- Responsible for the house keeping of the Lubes Depot
To be successful on this position, the candidate should have the following education and experience requirements:
- Malawi School Certificate of Education with 2 years driving experience with additional qualification equivalent to Trade Test Grade 1 certificate.
- Knowledge of depot operations will be an added advantage.
- Forklift Operator Certification is a must.
- English language is required.
