Role Title	Mechanic
Reporting to	Transport Officer

Job Requirements

Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
Certificate in Motor Vehicle Mechanics
TEVETA Level 3 certificate in automobile Mechanics.
Minimum of 2-3 years practical experience as a mechanic (experience with company fleets or construction equipment is an added advantage)
Honest, reliable, and able to work as part of the team.
Valid driving license (added advantage)
Detail-oriented
Be physically fit and be willing to travel across Malawi
Readily available and be prepared to work during odd hours and weekends
Be familiar with servicing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and machinery, including Scania.

Roles and Responsibilities

Plan and carry out routine maintenance service of vehicles.
Identify worn or damaged parts and replace them with approved spare parts
Carry out general Repairs on motor vehicles/motorcycles
Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults motor vehicles and equipment’s
Attend to emergency breakdowns and arrange for recovery as quickly as possible.
Timely prepare quotations of service parts
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and downtime tippers, Tata tippers, TLB, and other related construction equipment.
