In Malawi we operate the entire logistics service range from international freight forwarding to warehousing and distribution management. PRICING OFFICER
Applicants must have an MSCE and a bachelor’s degree with a strong base in sales. They must have strong analytical skills and tendering, good knowledge of imports/exports, customs and exchange control procedures in Malawi and in-depth knowledge of tariff shipping operations. He/She must also have computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook with over 3 years experience.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Distribution of general quotes / RFQ / RFP
- Assistant with compiling rates and solutions for Tenders
- Liaise with Clients to discuss rate submissions and provide solutions
- Formatting quotations / proposals for all modes of transport ie. Sea / Road /Air including cross trade
- Negotiate rates with shipping lines / transporters
- Ensure that rates are updated on the system and that rates quoted are competitive
- Ensure proper handover of quotes / tenders secured to the operations team.
