ACADEMIC POSITIONS

  1. Faculty of Social Sciences
    Position: Senior Lecturer in Development Studies (1 post)
    Qualification: Doctorate in Development Studies from an accredited institution
  2. Faculty of Education
    Position: Senior Lecturer in English Literature (1 post)
    Qualification: Doctorate in English Literature from an accredited institution
    Position: Senior Lecturer in Special Needs Education (1 post)
    Qualification: Doctorate in Special Needs Education from an accredited institution
  3. Faculty of Law
    Position: Lecturer in Labour Law and Law of Torts (1 post)
    Qualification: Master or Doctor of Law from an accredited institution
    Position: Lecturer in Commercial Law and Law of Contracts (1 post)
    Qualification: Master or Doctor of Law from an accredited institution
  4. Faculty of Science
    Position: Lecturer in Mathematical Sciences (1 post)
    Qualification:
    Master’s degree in Mathematics /Statistics from an accredited institution
  5. Faculty of Social Science
    Position: Lecturer in Project Management (1 post)
    Qualification: Master’s in Project Management from an accredited institution
    Location: St. Thomas Moore, Nanjiri campus – Lilongwe
  6. Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery
    Position: Clinical Instructor in Nursing and Midwifery (1 post)

Key duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret the mission, vision and the philosophy of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery as they relate to dinical teaching and learning
  • Participate in the preparation of the clinical map and interpretation of the clinical map to students
  • Orient students to the skills laboratory and all the activities that take place in the skills laboratory
  • Attend all mandatory orientations and trainings as directed by the Head of clinical and the Dean of the Faculty to remain current in the areas of of best practice techniques or evidence-based practice in nursing care
  • Schedule and participate in pre and post conference meetings with Clinical Coordinators in places where students are scheduled to go or from places where students have finished the clinical placement and submit a written report of the conferences.
  • Participate in the scouting of clinical places and signing of Memorandum of Understanding between hospitals and Catholic University
  • Participate in the review and the reinforcement of clinical policy and be a role model to student

Qualification:

  • Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery from an accredited institution

Experience

Applicants must have

  • A minimum of two years of lecturing experience in a recognized institution of higher learning
  • Knowledge of online lecturing and learning applications
